Adam FlomenbaumAhead of the start of the NFL season, Comcast and CBS Sports Digital announced a partnership that will enable fans with Xfinity X1 to view and access stats from their CBS Sports Fantasy Football league directly on their TVs. This integration is designed to minimize the need for a second screen to check team updates while watching games.
“The integration of CBS Sports fantasy football is another example how sports fans are most welcome on X1,” Preston Smalley, Vice President of Product Management for Apps, Sports and Content, Comcast Cable, told Found Remote. “Our strategy is actually pretty simple and yet hard to replicate at the same time: seamlessly weave together the broadest set of live events, on demand programming, web content and real-time sports data into a single unparalleled sports viewing experience.”
CBS Sports Fantasy Football players can launch the experience directly within the X1 sports app or by voice command via their X1 voice remotes by saying things like “show me my fantasy football team” or “my fantasy football team” When the app is opened on X1, the experience appears on the right-hand side of the TV, resizing the live video on the screen.
