“Roku is the No. 1 TV streaming platform in the United States as measured by total hours streamed,” said Roku Founder and CEO Anthony Wood. “We are growing our active accounts by distributing our proprietary TV OS across a broad range of streaming devices with multiple price points and many new and highly rated Roku TV models from our TV brand partners.”
Roku announced today that, as of June 30, it is has 15 million monthly active accounts – a staggering 43% increase over the same period last year. Customers streamed nearly seven billion hours on the Roku platform in the first half of 2017 – a 61% increase over the same period last year.
