There are no runaway shows when it comes to children’s TV on Netflix

The pie chart for this month’s top children’s TV shows on Netflix is about as evenly divided as possible. Still, the debut of Season 3 of Sofia the First was enough to push Star Wars: The Clone Wars out of the top spot, which is a rarity.

Below, additional insights via Jumpshot:

This month, new seasons debuting on the Netflix platform helped several kids/family shows break the top 10 in May.  Though new seasons of the Freeform series Switched at Birth and The Fosters debuted on May 11, viewership was eclipsed by the following Disney series:

  • Sofia Takes the First (Spot): Sofia the First took the top spot this month as viewership of the Disney series more than doubled month over month due to the premiere of Season 3 on April 30.  In May, the series drew a 14% share.

  • Liv and Let Liv: The Disney series, Liv and Maddie, was the fourth highest kids show this month, driving an 11% share.  Season 4 of the series debuted on April 23.
