Kevin Bacon is drawing Amazon Prime viewers with ‘I Love Dick’

While Catastrophe continues to draw Amazon Prime viewers, I Love Dick, a new Amazon Prime original series featuring Kevin Bacon, was the most-streamed show on the platform last week. If there’s such a thing as too many new shows, this doesn’t seem to apply to Amazon — with Catastrophe, Sneaky Pete, Goliath, Mozart in the Jungle, and now, I Love Dick, the network is on fire.
Below, additional insights via Jumpshot:
  • First Degree of Kevin Bacon: The newest Amazon original, I Love Dick, debuted on May 4.  The show involves a married couple fantasizing about a local artist with Kevin Bacon starring as the titular character.  The series took the top spot and generated a 40% share this week.
  • Slow Animals:  Though it debuted on April 30, Animal Kingdom Season 1 failed to gather a significant following in its first couple of weeks.  However, this past week, viewership increased by 122% week over week and the series generated a 4% share among the top 10 shows.
